A few weeks ago MFRMLS announced plans to implement a security initiative designed to provide optimum protection for valuable MLS and customer data by preventing unauthorized access and account sharing.  This ensures valuable data doesn’t end up compromised and assures that everyone using the MLS is participating in the cost of providing the service. This new security initiative will begin on September 8, 2010.

In order to prepare for this change, we want to inform you of several important items to note:

(1)    Passwords will need to be between 6–12 characters in length, passwords are NOT case sensitive and may contain letters and/or numbers.  If you need to update your password to conform to the new policy please contact MFR at 800-686-7451.

(2)    There will be a brand new login screen which will require your computer have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed. To ensure you have the latest version of Flash installed, visit http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash/.

(3)    You will no longer be able to save your login ID or password, as this technology involves keystroke recognition and will require you to type your user ID and password with each login. Additionally, if you make a mistake while typing your user ID or password and hit the backspace key, the field will reset and you will need to re-enter the information.

(4)    If you access MLXchange on a computer that is used by other MFRMLS members, you will need to close Internet Explorer after logging out of MLXchange before a different user will be able to login; this is a critical step and will ensure that the next member will be able to login successfully.
