MongoFAX arrives March 1st

Another step toward the paper-free office

Last month we showed you how to use ShowingTime and attachments to automate the exchange of information between buyer's and seller's agents. But despite our best efforts, we all know that when an offer is on the table, a flurry of scanning, faxing, and delivering documents begins.

That's where MongoFAX comes in. MongoFAX allows you to fax a document to a single toll-free 1-800 number, and have that document delivered immediately as an Adobe PDF file to any email addresses you specify.

Once you start thinking about the uses and benefits of MongoFAX, the possibilities seem endless:

Document Quality: Real estate documents are often faxed two or three times in a single transaction, and by the time the last party receives them, they are often illegible. With MongoFAX, a document is faxed only once, and can be forwarded electronically over and over with no loss of quality.

Multiple Recipients: With one fax you can send a document to as many Email addresses as you specify, making MongoFAX a real time saver.

Easier Archiving: Once MongoFAX converts your document to an electronic file, it can be easily archived on any computer. (You can even fax documents to your own Email and you'll have an electronic copy in seconds—probably faster than you could scan it).

Sounds Great! When can I start using MongoFAX?

Beginning March 1st, MongoFAX will be available for all MFRMLS subscribers at no additional cost as a value-added part of your subscription.

How do I use MongoFAX?

  1. DOWNLOAD the PDF MongoFAX cover page and save it on your computer.
  2. OPEN the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher (you can down load a current version at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/ ).
  3. TYPE the appropriate Email addresses in the TO/CC/FROM fields on the Email Cover Page.
  4. PRINT the Email Cover Page.
  5. FAX only to dedicated MongoFAX number indicated on Email Cover Page.
